Consultation Appointment Information

If you have been referred for a colonoscopy at the CCSC, here is what you can expect:

• You will receive a letter from the CCSC letting you know the date and time of your consultation appointment.
• At the consultation appointment, you will first watch a presentation explaining to you what a colonoscopy is, risks & benefits to the procedure, options you may have, prep information and what to expect on the day of you procedure
• After the presentation, you will undergo a medical assessment by a nurse to determine whether you are eligible to have a colonoscopy at the CCSC. If you are eligible, CCSC staff will schedule your colonoscopy procedure prior to leaving the centre.
